They can adapt the story to make it more light hearted

The comparisons between the orginal jungle book and the new revamped one show that disney intended for the new one to become a rising film that rivals other films like a marvel production, however the original jungle book was doing new things so they did not expect this film to become quite as popular as it was, so using the dramatic tone and short cuts and intense music in the new trailer shows off that it wants to rival action films compared to the old trailer which is quite relaxed and musical to show its lighter tone not wanting to impose as much as the new trailer.
